Today I was on the phone with my mom and she told me that wild horses couldn’t drag her from the person she loved (if she was in love). And I said same, I’m your daughter and I’m the same as you. And then again later I was on the phone with Ari and we were talking about being your parents and I forgot I had this conversation and I was like well I’m a depressed party girl what could be more them? And wild horses couldn’t drag me away from the person I love even though I wish that they could.
My mom was referencing the Rolling Stones song ‘Wild Horses’ but I really like/prefer the Prefab Sprout song of the same name. Sara told me one time that she sent it to a girl that she liked who was totally turned off by it. Because Paddy McAloon was confessing his preoccupation with younger women.
